Hirafu
Hirafu is the main center of the Niseko United resorts and is divided into Grand Hirafu where the ski resort is located and Lower Hirafu which is further down the slope. Hirafu has the largest concentration of hotels, restaurants and bars in Niseko. The larger ski in / ski out hotels are located in Grand Hirafu while you can find smaller chalets and backpacker lodges in Lower Hirafu. Head to Hirafu for Niseko’s nightlife.
Kutchan
Kutchan is a 5 in drive from Hirafu and offers a more local experience. It has cheaper accommodation and better amenities with supermarkets, local restaurants and a train station. There are shuttle buses running from Kutchan to Hirafu.
Niseko Village / Higashiyama
Upmarket area where you will find the international Hilton hotel and several luxury accommodation option. Its quieter with people paying to be isolated inside their expensive hotels replete with snow valets and private chefs.
Hanazono
The Hanazono area is in the midst of being developed and is a good location for those that prefer not to be too close to the action. There is the larger Park Hyatt hotel and smaller lodges available.
Annupuri
This area is the furthest away and quietest of the Niseko united resorts. At the base are several traditional onsen ryokans that you can stay at.
Moiwa
Mt Moiwa ski resort is not covered under the Niseko united resort but its within a short drive to other resorts. There are capsule hotel options here.
