Where to Buy Ski & Snowboard Gear in Tokyo

Japanese people love their winter sports and high demand means that there is extensive range available from domestic & global brands. Shibuya Tokyo is home to a couple of flagship stores from well known outdoor gear brands and Kanda Ogawamachi - a sports shopping street with a high concentration snow sports shops. Don't forget to bring your passport when shopping to get the tourist refund.

Central Tokyo

Shinjuku & Shibuya are Tokyo's most buzzing districts filled with restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Though most locations are mainly fashion focussed, global outdoor brands such as Burton, Patagonia & The North Face have set up flagship stores here. For skiers & boarders this is a must do tourist destination. Kanda Ogawamachi is known as the sporting goods town. The Kanda neighbourhood is home to a high concentration of sports shops varying from small independent shops to sports mega complexes. Since competition is high, astute buyers will be able to find some nice bargains especially when buying last seasons gear. Nothing like Kanda really exists in any other city. There is enough range and stuff hear to make gear heads wet themselves. Prepare to exercise extreme self control with your yen.
